Convert JSON objects and arrays into clean indented XML
The json to xml converter works like this: it converts JSON to indented XML: objects become elements, arrays become repeated child elements, numbers/booleans stay typed, and illegal tag names are sanitized automatically. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| {"users":[{"name":"Ada"}]} | <users><user><name>Ada</name></user></users> |
All parsing and transformation happens locally in this tab - your code and data are not sent anywhere.
They are sanitized: spaces and symbols become underscores, names starting with a digit get a prefix, and reserved "xml" names are renamed.
They become an element with isNull="true" so the distinction survives the round trip.
Each array becomes a parent element with one repeated child element per item - the standard XML shape for lists, so a JSON array of three users yields <users><user>...</user> x3</users>.
Keys with spaces, digits-first names or special characters are sanitised into valid element names rather than producing output no XML parser would accept.
