Generate CSS box shadow code with visual editor
The box shadow works like this: it tunes layered CSS box-shadows with live preview and outputs the full rule including color and blur. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| 8px blur, 3px spread, black 25% | box-shadow: 0 4px 8px 3px rgba(0,0,0,0.25); |
Generation happens locally with cryptographic randomness where relevant - outputs are not transmitted or stored.
Large blur + small offset + low opacity beats hard dark shadows. Stacked layers (tight shadow + wide soft one) create depth.
Multiple stacked shadows with increasing blur and decreasing opacity look far more natural than a single hard shadow - realistic depth is a composite, not one rule.
The full box-shadow property: offsets, blur, spread, and an rgba() colour with your chosen opacity, ready to paste into any stylesheet.
