Check your public IP, location, ISP, VPN and proxy detection
The ip address checker works like this: it shows your public IP, approximate location from public geo databases, and whether a VPN-style proxy header is detected. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| Your connection | IP, ASN/network name, country, city-level estimate |
Only the identifier you explicitly enter is sent for public-database lookup. Browser-side checks never transmit anything.
City-level at best - IP geolocation maps to your ISP's routing point, not your address.
The tool displays it only to you; no lookup history is stored by the page.
Location comes from public databases that map IP ranges to cities - they are accurate to a region, not a street, and can lag behind your internet provider's reassignments.
It checks signals commonly present when traffic is tunnelled or anonymised. A positive flag usually means your connection routes through something that rewrites headers - not that anything is wrong.
