Check which AI crawlers your robots.txt allows or blocks
The gptbot crawl tester works like this: it reads a site's robots.txt and reports whether the major AI crawlers (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, PerplexityBot, Bytespider) are allowed or blocked. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.

The URL you check is fetched once so the tool can read pages that block cross-origin browser requests. No browsing history is stored, and nothing from your own device is transmitted.
Trade-off: blocking removes your content from AI training but also from AI answer engines that cite sources - a growing referral channel. Most publishers currently allow answer-bots while deciding on training bots.
No - GPTBot trains models; ChatGPT-User and OAI-SearchBot fetch pages when users ask. Each has its own rules.
The major ones - GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, CCBot, PerplexityBot and Bytespider - each tested against the site's robots.txt the way that crawler would read it.
Allowed means the crawler may fetch the site's pages for training or search; blocked means robots.txt tells it not to - the verdict reflects the rules as written, including crawl-delay nuances.
