Calculate gas costs, fuel economy, and trip fuel expenses
What is the Fuel Cost Calculator?
The fuel cost works like this: it multiplies distance, fuel efficiency and fuel price into total trip cost, and splits it across passengers. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.
How to use the Fuel Cost Calculator
Enter the values the calculator asks for.
Double-check the unit or period next to each field (per month vs per year, cm vs m).
Read the result together with the breakdown shown beneath it.
Adjust one input at a time to compare scenarios side by side.

Frequently asked questions
Where does efficiency come from?
Enter your car's real consumption (from the dash or fuel log), not the brochure figure - real-world use is typically 10-20% worse.
Should I enter city or highway consumption?
Enter the blended real figure for the route you will actually drive - a trip that is mostly highway at 5.5 L/100km with city ends will average nearer 6.5 than either extreme.
How does the passenger split work?
The total trip cost is divided evenly by the passenger count you enter, including or excluding the driver as you prefer - the per-head figure assumes equal sharing.
