Encrypt text with AES encryption online free
The text encrypt works like this: it encrypts text with AES-256-GCM using a password-derived key (PBKDF2), producing authenticated ciphertext. Everything happens on your device - the input never leaves your tab unless the tool clearly states it performs a server-side lookup.
| Input | Result |
|---|---|
| "meet at noon" + password | Ciphertext that is unreadable and tamper-proof without the password |
Only the identifier you explicitly enter is sent for public-database lookup. Browser-side checks never transmit anything.
Nothing can recover the text - AES-GCM has no backdoor. Store passwords in a manager.
Yes - the Web Crypto API runs the same AES the OS uses; the ciphertext only exists in your tab.
It is the same authenticated-encryption standard banks and governments use - tampering is detected, not just prevented, and brute-forcing the key is computationally infeasible.
